Bengaluru is poised to enhance its status as a leading technology hub with the introduction of 89 new IT and tech parks across various key locations, including Yeshwantpur, Whitefield, Bellandur, and Koramangala. This initiative aims to meet the increasing demand for office space within the IT sector and to attract both domestic and international tech companies.
The new tech parks will be strategically situated in prominent areas to support the city’s expanding tech industry and provide advanced infrastructure for businesses. This development is expected to create numerous job opportunities and further stimulate the local economy.
As part of a comprehensive strategy to improve Bengaluru’s infrastructure, these projects reflect the city’s commitment to maintaining its competitive advantage in the global technology landscape. The parks will be constructed over the next two to three years, with significant activity anticipated in the North Zone, Mahadevapura, and Bommanahalli.
In Yeshwantpur and Whitefield, more than ten IT firms are expected to establish operations, while Bellandur will see five new companies, Tumkur Road two, Koramangala one, and Kundalahalli three. This influx of new enterprises is projected to significantly boost employment in Bengaluru.
Additionally, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) is reviving a long-standing plan to develop self-sufficient towns in suburban areas such as Bidadi, Solur near Magadi, and Nandagudi in Hosakote. Preparatory work is underway to explore the feasibility of extending metro services to these new developments, with Bidadi being prioritized for initial implementation. The project aims to create a comprehensive township featuring commercial spaces, residential units, and necessary infrastructure, including separate water supply systems for these areas.
