India Set to Become Global Hub for Trump Towers Following 2024 Election Victory

Nov 11 2024

Following Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 U.S. elections, India is set to become the largest global hub for Trump Towers outside the United States. Tribeca Developers, the licensed partner of the Trump Organization in India, has announced six new luxury real estate projects across major cities: Pune, Gurugram, Noida, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. These projects will cover a total area of 8 million square feet and are expected to generate sales exceeding ₹15,000 crore.

Expansion of Trump Towers in India

Currently, India ranks second only to the U.S. in terms of Trump-branded developments, with four existing Trump Towers totaling approximately 3 million square feet. The upcoming projects will not only increase this number but also solidify India’s position as a key market for luxury real estate. Kalpesh Mehta, founder of Tribeca Developers, stated that with these new launches, India will surpass all other countries in the number of Trump Towers.

The new developments will include a mix of residential and commercial properties. Notably, one project will be a large office complex in Pune, marking the Trump brand’s entry into the commercial real estate sector in India. Additionally, there are plans for a golf and villas project as part of this expansion.

Strategic Partnerships and Market Insights

Tribeca Developers plans to collaborate with local partners for these projects, ensuring that each development is tailored to meet high standards of luxury living. Mehta emphasized that these projects are designed to be “trophy properties,” aiming to push the boundaries of luxury real estate in India. The brand’s strategy involves working closely with local developers and landowners while managing design and customer relations.

The luxury real estate market in India has shown remarkable growth, with properties like the Trump Tower in Gurugram experiencing significant increases in value. Reports indicate that prices per unit have nearly doubled over recent years, reflecting a growing demand among high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), Bollywood celebrities, and non-resident Indians (NRIs), who constitute about 20% of buyers for these luxury units.

Upcoming Visits by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump

To further enhance the brand’s presence in India, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump are scheduled to visit early next year to officially launch these new Trump Tower projects. Their visit is anticipated to take place between March and June 2025, coinciding with the rollout of several new developments.

Conclusion

With its ambitious expansion plans and strategic partnerships, India is poised to become a central hub for Trump Towers globally. The combination of luxury offerings and high demand from affluent buyers positions Tribeca Developers as a leader in India’s premium real estate market. As the brand continues to grow its footprint across major cities, it reflects both the evolving landscape of luxury living in India and the enduring appeal of the Trump brand in international real estate.
